We believe the opportunity for study abroad should be open to all.
The Globe Runner Scholarship Fund provides matching grants and one-on-one mentoring to give highly qualified Albuquerque and Santa Fe area high school students the opportunity to study abroad. The Globe Runner Scholarship Fund is a component fund of the Albuquerque Community Foundation, and is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation.
Globe Runner funds supplement scholarships from the USA-USA Faces of America program. The Faces of America program provides study abroad opportunities to high-achieving, low-income high school students of color, and other under-represented groups, if organizations in their local community will provide the other half grant. Communities around the US have participated in the Faces of America program since 2007. With the Globe Runner Scholarship Fund, New Mexico high school students can now participate in the AFS Faces of America international exchange program.
